Adam Basma, the Adam Basma Dance Company brings to life on
stage the rich pageantry of color, music, and history of the
traditional native dances of Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine,
Jordan, The Arabian Gulf, Iraq, Morocco, and Algeria. The Adam
Basma Dance Company formed in 1980, began with a mission of
teaching and educating the American public on the traditional
art of folkstyle Middle Eastern dance. Adam has received
international and critical acclaim for his precise attention to
detail, technique and structure of each dance performed from
the many regions of the Middle East. Having toured throughout
the United States and Europe, the Adam Basma Dance Company
has performed for hundreds of dignitaries, including Middle
Eastern Royal Families.
Through his dedication to dance and music, Adam Basma
entertains and educated people of all cultures and walks of life
about the fascinating dance, traditions and artistry of the
