A social meeting to discuss the present and future of the bellydance/Middle Eastern dance community in the Los Angeles area and at large.

Here are some questions to consider before our community meeting:
Where do YOU think the future of bellydance is? What kinds of directions have we been going in lately? How do you feel about the dance now compared to when you began dancing and how do you think it's changed?

Though Belly Fusion LA is presenting this event, artists of all bellydance styles are welcome and encouraged to participate. We would especially like to invite dancers who regularly perform at paid gigs.

Bringing of a potluck item with labeled ingredients is strongly encouraged. We will have a few snacks available.

This event will be livestreamed, so please keep that in mind when addressing more sensitive topics or personal stories.

Other possible topics if time allows will include:
-Outreach to the local Middle Eastern community and cultural connections
-Gig safety/ self-defense
-How to continue to foster and promote community
