Musical Geography: Methods for Mapping out Music
Musical Geography is about having the tools to understand your music on a song by song basis. Learning to sit down with a piece of music and actively listen while documenting its overall pattern as well as more specific nuances such as: rhythm changes, character, instrumentation, tempo changes, & variations. This fabulous technique for mapping out music will empower you to demystify even complex pieces of music! Leave this class with an extraordinarily important set of tools to more easily edit music, choreograph for solo or troupe work, & improvise with intention and direction. Open and recommended for ALL levels of Dancers!
