Nasila began dancing and performing at the age of five,
exploring tap, ballet, contemporary dance, and show choir.
She was introduced to Middle Eastern dance, or "belly
dance," in 2002 and was instantly smitten.  Her amazing
teachers and mentors include Zahra Zuhair, Jenna, Fahtiem,
Aleya, and dozens of other talented Los Angeles-based and
international instructors, and she recently traveled to
Egypt to further
her training.

Nasila has appeared in local restaurants including Moun of
Tunis and Dar Maghreb, and danced for many local clients,
including Mayor Villaraigosa and the City of Los Angeles. As a
local dancer and teacher, and co-founder of Los Angeles
belly dance resource
LARaqs.com, Nasila shares the endless
benefits of
raqs sharqi and strives to impart some of the
beauty that emerges through the interpretation of rich
Middle Eastern music. She has been invited to dance before
international oriental dance stars including Tito, Diana
Tarkhan, Karim Nagi, and Leila of Cairo, has danced with
master percussionists and other brilliant local musicians.

Taking delight in every aspect of this amazing dance and its
ancient cultures, Nasila brings a passion for Arabic music,
and heart-felt love of dance to her performances.
