Zahra Zuhair is my favorite teacher
because she exudes grace, strength and
technique in a beautiful manner when
she dances. She dances so effortlessly
as if she's dancing on a cloud and really
brings true meaning to the art of raqs in
a most powerful way. -- Myrna
Leela. Mostly, I love how her classes
make me FEEL. She teaches in
understandable "layers," weaves humor
into her delivery, and her enthusiasm is
contagious. After a class with Leela, I
feel like I can be good enough to
perform someday! -- Trish Devine
Mesmera...she's just got that certain
something....and she continues to challenge
me! -LaShonda
Elizabeth has a great passion for dance,
and has a wonderful way of inspiring her
students to push past their boundaries.
You can't help but smile when she walks
in a room, because you know fun stuff is
about to happen! -- Jennifer
Tamra-henna!!! She is a great dancer
and teacher. Her class is sometime
tough, but I learn so many things
from her, not only damce, she
teaches Arabic rhythms, culture,
etc... --Shirin
Ayse Cerami is my favorite teacher
because she is the one who first
introduced me to tribal belly dance.
She is an amazingly kind and gentle
spirit as well as being one of the most
creative choreographers I've met. She
has the ability to take people of varying
skill levels and make them all look
good. -- Elizabeth Mahina
Anja breaks down movements in an way
that you can duplicate easily. She also
has a great ability to teach choreography to
a large group in a short amount of time
that is very fun and exciting and
ready to perform for and audience! She
also is great at designing and
making group costumes that compliments
all body shapes and sizes! --Jodi
Politti is a fabulous teacher and
performer. She manages to combine
the technical aspects of dance with the
creative and makes learning with her a
true experience. Politti helps her
students to discover and express the
artist inside. --Hasseenah
Angela Buttrey is a dynamic teacher,
experienced in many forms of danse
oriental, so full of joy and soul when
she dances and teaches. You can
learn the steps of belly dance from
almost anyone but learning to dance
with that joy in your step is what
Angela is able to teach. -- Natalie
Anaheed - class act, classy
lady, ageless, member of the
original dance troupe of L.A.
-- Tracey Farmer
Baheyya is an amazing modern Cairo
style dancer & sooo amazingly sweet.
She's worked in egypt and recently
moved back to L.A. I cant believe her
class isnt packed because each class is
like an expensive workshop by Leila of
Cairo or Diana Tarkhan. -- Tahma
I would like to suggest Sedona
as an instructor of the month.
She is an amazing teacher and
dancer who gets so little
recognition. Her students are all
amazing dancers because of
her. Even students that move
into her class after having had
other classes, grow leaps and
bounds. It shows in their
performance, in their repertoire
of moves, and in their stage
presence. Sedona is a fabulous
instructor. -- Blume Bauer
Edara is the most beautiful graceful
dancer and she is hummble, kind and
funny! --Shannon of shangri-la
