world. Come learn basic flutters and
flourishes as well as more advanced
frames, turns, and transitions. Some sets
of wings will be available for purchase at
the workshop.

Tools to Aid the Art of Improvisation
Sunday, October 11
1:00-3:00pm at DanceGarden
Lines, Circles and Shapes! This spatial-linear
approach to Oriental Dance will aid in
choreography and improvisation. Using basic
movement theory principles, we will experiment
with visual techniques and explore how the WAYS
in which we envision our body and movement in
space can improve our performance of Oriental
Dance. This class will focus on exercises in order
to clarify the essential platforms of movement
isolations, dynamic changes, transitions, and,
most importantly, pauses and stillness!
